Ride the Rideau 2011: Thank You! Merci!

Riders, supporters, staff and volunteers….We did it! You did it!

The Ride The Rideau event team wanted 600 riders and got 715 to participate. It aimed for 68 teams, up from 34 teams last year, and saw 71 teams come together. It aimed to raise $1,800,000.00, and raised $1,829,544.00.

The Brick Peddlers

Merkley Supply’s team, “The Brick Peddlers”, raised more than $173,000.00! We are extremely proud of this accomplishment.

Merkley Supply also wants to send out a huge thank you to the entire team at The Ottawa Hospital Foundation for their outstanding work at making this an amazing and over whelming success!

And of course, we’d also like to thank the 280 volunteers for giving up their time on such a magnificent day!

Great people! Great ride! Great cause!

The 3rd Annual “Ride The Rideau” event takes place on September 8th, 2012. Will you be there to join us?

Please spread the word on how great the experience was and what a great difference the $1,829,544.00 will make in the ongoing research right here at The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute for a cure for cancer.

Registration for Ride The Rideau 2012 will begin shortly. I hope that all this year’s participants will return next year and that you will spread the word and recruit many, many more riders for 2012.
