Green Products from Atlas Block: ideal for LEED credits

Recycled Glass = Landfill Divertion

Using Poraver technology, an innovative post-consumer recycled glass granulate, Atlas Block converts otherwise unusable colored glass from municipal blue bin recycling programs into durable content for their concrete products. This year alone, Atlas Block will divert 2,500,000 glass bottles from landfills. All of their products contain post-industrial recycled content and supplementary cementing materials.

Concrete Masonry Units (CMUs)

The Atlas Block CMU line includes concrete, lightweight and decorative block, all of which incorporate eco-friendly Poraver® post-consumer recycled glass. Although all Atlas products contain post-consumer recycled glass, PCR Block contains the most. At 36% recycled content by value and 20% by volume, it is, hands down, the greenest block on the market.

PCR Block offers the same excellent stability, durability and fire rating (2-hour ULC) as its Lightweight Block. For builders looking to achieve LEED® credits, the use of PCR Block can make a significant contribution.

Atlas Block CMUs can be used for commercial and residential applications such as interior walls, exterior walls and structural walls.

Masonry Veneers

Atlas Block brick and stone veneers offer sturdy, sophisticated finishing options for residential and commercial applications. They use post-consumer recycled glass as well, making them the greenest veneer option currently available.

Landscaping Products

Atlas Block landscaping products include retaining walls, fencing products, slabs and interlocking pavers, all of which complement each other to create attractive, durable, and environmentally responsible outdoor spaces. They also contain post-consumer recycled glass, without sacrificing anything in the way of beauty, design or strength.
